Earlier this evening Justin and I were at a concert in downtown Salt Lake when we got a call from our babysitter... apparently Chelsea got a nail stuck into her foot while playing in the backyard, so of course we immediately rushed home. We arrived and found an ambulance parked in front plus paramedics and a group of concerned neighbors in our house.

This is the picture our friend sent to Justin's phone while we were driving home
We left Brighton and Siena with our friends, the Olsons, and drove Chelsea to the Instacare.
Video footage of the doctor pulling the nail out of her foot
Nothing a cute band-aid and new toy can't fix
They flushed the wound and bandaged it up, and fortunately, she was current on her tetanus shot so it was a pretty simple procedure. Thank goodness it was nothing too serious, but it sure made for an exciting evening.
Thanks to all of our good neighbors and friends who helped us out!

Holy Cow, Lisa. Poor Chelsea. I'm sure you were dying when you got that phone call from your babysitter. I'm so glad that she is fine. Yikes. Is it a nail from your fence?
Oh my gosh! That is a total nightmare! And I know this is about Chels, but I feel really bad for the babysitter, too. Geez. And by the way, that video totally made my cry. I'm just so glad she's ok.
Did the babysitter calll 911? Yikes! You need to give your babysitters our phone numbers also as a backup for these kind of emergencies. I'm so sorry Chelsea go hurt and so sorry it ruined your evening.
