The primary children in our ward had the opportunity to participate in the Day's of '47 Youth Parade this year. There were close to 5,000 children in this parade and it is known as the largest youth parade in the country. It was a good thing we had plenty of water to drink and spray bottles to mist the kids with because it was close to 100 degrees and we were outside for quite a while, but the kids were such troopers and it seemed like they had a lot of fun.

I took sidewalk chalk and other activities to entertain the kids while we waited for the parade to start

At the end there were free popsicles and a really great festival, and it was a fun way to celebrate our pioneer heritage.

I should have brought the girls to watch the parade. Looks like fun. So glad it's over.
How fun that your kids were able to participate in such a big parade! You are so prepared, bring chalk for the kids while they waited. What a neat experience.
