Look Who's Turning ONE!

Ok, so I have been stewing over this idea for about a year now, ever since I looked like this:

And four of my good friends were in the same boat as me. We all ended up having our babies just days within each other. In fact, one had a baby the day before me, and the other had twins the day after! So I could not resist planning a BIG birthday bash for these little cuties:

It was the easiest birthday party I have ever planned because the five of us divided up all of the responsibilities, and did all the prep together. And let me tell you how lucky I am to have such talented and creative friends. The only thing that stressed me out was the weather... after five straight days of heavy rain, I was so nervous. What a relief it was to wake up to a gorgeous Saturday! We sure love having this lovely park in our neighborhood-- it made for the perfect venue.

So we came up with a circus theme, and really had fun with it:

We had good food, and good company:

And here's our little birthday girl with dad:

And mom:

The babies were so good to pose for this darling picture:

Bronx was one lucky guy to be surrounded by all of these cute girls!

And here are all of the moms with their one-year-olds, as we sang "happy birthday":

Love that frosting goatee

We had a cotton-candy station:

And face-painting:

And a bounce house:

And an awesome photo board:

Chelsea and Brighton

Siena and London

The perfect party favors:

It was the best party ever!

Happy 1st Birthday, Londy! And Bronx and Tessa and Emree and June and Ruby!

Late April to early May...

So glad that the weather is getting more spring-like. This was Brighton's game a week ago-- he was such a trooper!

I told myself it would never happen, but I have fallen into that old cliche of taking less and less pictures of each of our subsequent children. I was trying to find a recent picture of London to use for a birthday party invitation and realized I didn't have one! So I broke down and went to Kiddie Kandids:

Can't believe she's turning ONE this month

Siena was pretty excited about her birthday present from Grandma and Grandpa Allen this year. She got to go on a special date with Grandma to go and see "Annie". She has not stopped singing since. Who knew we had a performer in the family?:

Coming home from their fun night out

We got to celebrate Grandma's birthday with her. It's always fun to have an excuse for a party:

And many more...

And here's a picture of London sleeping. I always LOVE sleeping pictures of my children, but as I mentioned earlier, have just failed to take enough of this little one. Ironically, she happens to be our best sleeper and is pretty much sleeping all the time, so I don't know what my problem is...

I had a fabulous Mother's Day this year. Handmade necklaces, good dark chocolate, lovely cards, a baby who slept in my arms all through Sacrament Meeting, an undisturbed nap after church and a delicious dinner that I didn't have to cook or clean up after. What more could a mother want?

Such thoughtful gifts from my family
