September Update

Since tomorrow is the last day of September, I thought I would do a recap of what we have been up to the last 10 days.

The afternoon after Chelsea's birthday party, there was a RSL day game, so we took the whole family. We had some friends with us, which made it extra fun. You've gotta love the girls in their RSL gear with the prom hair.

We even got London some RSL garb

Chelsea officially turned 5 on Sunday. We started the day by opening gifts:

And ended it with a special family dinner. The menu was no surprise-- spaghetti and meatballs, salad with ranch dressing, broccoli with Hollandaise sauce, and garlic bread-- all Chelsea's favorites.

We sure love Chelsea. She is the bubbliest, giggliest, happiest, most affectionate and loving girl around. We hope she knows how special we all think she is.

On Monday Grandpa T and Annie were in town for a day, so they asked the birthday girl where she would like to go to dinner. She chose Benihana:

With Chelsea's birthday a success and over with, we've started planning Brighton's Superhero birthday bash. More on that later.

And a highlight was that we spent a few days in Denver with the Millers and Grandma and Grandpa. Sadly, I only took pictures at the Giants/Rockies game. I guess we were having too much fun to bother taking pictures...

Siena, Reagan and Campbell stayed at the Millers with a babysitter, which worked out well for us-- because we all know that 3-year-olds and sporting events are not a great combination. Let's just suffice it to say that we all had a fabulous time.

The cousins were all so glad to be together, and it was a short, but great trip.

When we got back the girls were glad to be back at school,

And London turned 4 months old. At her check-up today she weighed just under 15 pounds, and at the 75th percentile is definitely still our biggest baby.

She is a happy, easy-going, sweet and smiley baby. And the best sleeper ever (hooray for me!). I'll admit it was rough the first few weeks (I was completely out of baby-mode), but we can't imagine our family without our little "Londy". We just love her to pieces.

Chelsea's 5th Birthday Party

Chelsea turned 5 yesterday, so we had her party on Saturday. When we started planning it, I asked her what kind of party she wanted, and she said she definitely wanted a Spa Day (she's seen that episode of Phineas and Ferb one too many times). I wasn't sure how I was going to pull it off at first, but it all came together when I saw how talented our cute babysitter Allie was at painting nails, she could do the little flowers and everything (she would do the girls' nails when she came to babysit-- isn't she the cutest?). I asked her to round up some friends who would be willing to do nails and hair on a group of 4 and 5-year-olds, and that's what we did for our party!

Instead of the usual goody bag, I had gotten spa robes for each of the girls with their names embroidered on them. So as soon as they came in, they put on their robes, and were directed to the nail salon (our front room), the hair salon (our master bathroom), or the waiting room (our family room).

I had gotten a whole bunch of kid magazines and coloring books with crayons to keep them entertained

All of the girls really got into the Spa Day, and it turned out to be a really fun party! Happy 5th Birthday Chelsea!

First Day of School 2010

Yes, Brighton started school two weeks ago and Chelsea started a week ago, but for me, this is the first official day of school because it was Siena's first day of preschool. After three long years of watching her brother and sister going to school, she was so thrilled that it was finally her time to go.

Here is Siena in her new classroom. At first she was sad that Chelsea wasn't with her (apparently she had it in her head that they would be going to the same place together), but was happy once she got there

This was from Brighton's first day. Can you believe this kid is in FIRST GRADE? Oh how time flies...

As happy as Siena was to be going to school, no one is happier than I am that I now have three kids in school! They're all going to three different places so it's a little crazy in the morning, but can I tell you how nice it is to have a couple of hours in the morning with just London at home? In fact, she's just sleeping in her swing right now, so I hardly know what to do with myself!

London Update

London is just over three months old now. She is really starting to smile a lot, especially for her favorite people (that would be us, her family).

She especially loves her daddy, probably because she is his "mini me".

And is always happy during bath time.

She is adored by all.
