So not too long after I posted that last entry, I went into labor, and it's a great story so I have to share it.
That afternoon on the 26th, I had been nesting for days, so my house was clean, I was all caught up on laundry, my fridge and pantry were stocked, and I just didn't know what to do with myself. There was one thing I needed to get at Target, so I got the kids together and I decided we were going to walk there. I had high hopes that that might get things moving, but if nothing else, I figured it will kill some time. On the way back, I ran into my friend Molly, who could tell that I was walking with a purpose. She half-jokingly asked me if I had tried the "labor" pizza yet. I hadn't even heard of it, and she explained to me that there is a pizza from Cafe Trio in Salt Lake that supposedly induces labor. Well, at this point I was willing to try anything (except maybe the castor oil trick- that is just plain gross), so I called Justin and asked him to pick it up on the way home from work. When I was calling in the order, this was how the conversation went:
Lisa: Hi, I'd like to place an order to go
Cafe Trio guy: Great, what can I get for you?
Lisa: Um... this is slightly embarrassing, but my friend told me about your "labor" pizza?
Cafe Trio guy: Oh, that's our garlic chicken pizza. Don't be embarrassed, pregnant women ask for it all the time.
Lisa: Ok, I'll take one of those
And 15 minutes later--
Justin: Hi, I'm here to pick up a pizza for Lisa.
Cafe Trio guy: (with a knowing look) So, it's time, huh?
It was really good pizza-- a thin-crust pizza with roasted garlic, chicken, fontina and a balsamic drizzle, and I was really enjoying it. And I'm not exaggerating in the least when I tell you what happened next. I was eating my third slice, and just as I finished it, I had my first hard-core contraction. And then another one 3 minutes later. And another, and another, every three minutes and I knew it was time. And here I am, in between contractions, trying to clean up from dinner, loading the dishwasher, and telling Brighton to go and tell Justin that the baby is coming. Justin comes into the kitchen as I am trying to wipe down the table and kitchen counter and he's like "What are you doing? Don't worry about the kitchen table, let's go!" So the labor pizza worked. Thanks, Molly! Here's London Natsumi Allen. Born at 12:08 a.m. She was 6 lbs, 2 oz, and 19 inches long. She is pretty stinking cute.

Update, Part 2
I have about a million pictures I want to post of her, but right now it's feeding time, so it'll have to wait. But we are all so excited to have her home.
