Siena the Strider Kid

A couple of weeks ago I mentioned a special bike we got Siena for her birthday. I had seen some videos on Youtube of little tiny kids on these bikes known as "balance" or "running" bikes, and thought it would be perfect for her. It's a bike without pedals, and kids walk or run to make themselves go. Supposedly it is more effective than bikes with training wheels because the first thing they learn is to balance and coast without relying on their training wheels. In fact when we first got it, Brighton spent about a half hour on this little bike, and that's how he figured out how to ride his own bike without training wheels. It took about a week of her walking with her bike, but I am convinced it works! Check it out:

I did my research, and the Strider brand of bikes is definitely the best one to get.

Wow! How cool! I'm thinking Ella needs one soon. Either this year or next. Thanks for introducing me to them!
