A while back I was lamenting to Justin that I spend a LOT of time in the kitchen. First thing in the morning, I'm getting the kids breakfast, and then I feed them and clean up after them. Soon after that I'm getting them a mid-morning snack and before you know it I have to get lunch ready for them. Then I feed them, clean up the lunch mess and of course not long after that they want a mid-afternoon snack. Then I have to start thinking about and starting dinner, everyone eats, I clean up after dinner... it's an endless cycle. That doesn't include any additional time spent cleaning the kitchen and baking and doing stuff with the kids at the kitchen table. Don't get me wrong, I love to cook, but I spend many hours working in the kitchen every day. The kitchen is definitely a gathering place in our home. So you can imagine my excitement when he got me this for Mother's Day:
Another lovely gift-- Brighton made me this adorable paperweight (I think that's what it is...) at preschool, as well as a handmade card (his specialty!). So cute.
Better than any corsage, I had Siena as the perfect "accessory"
I feel so blessed to have a husband who works so hard outside the home so that I can stay home and take care of these kids full-time. I can't think of anything else I would rather be than Brighton, Chelsea, and Siena's Mom. They make me so happy!
Thanks for wonderful Mother's Day!
