I was in Indiana visiting Lillian and Blake and cute little Ella for a week. I had such a great time! Ella is such a sweet baby, and it was so fun to hold her. I hope I was of some help to the new mom and dad.

Meanwhile, Justin was at home with the three kids being Superdad for a week. I am so impressed! While I was gone, not only did he chauffeur Brighton to his summer classes, cook meals and feed them, clean up after them and give them baths, potty-train Chelsea and comfort them when they were sick, take them to do fun stuff and read many, many books to them, he also cleaned the garage and organized our basement and living room! I can't overstate how grateful I am to him and to Grandma Allen for everything they did so that I could go on this trip. They did an awesome job of doing all of the mommy stuff. Here are just a few pictures of the kids from last week:

With his sisters and friends afterwards

Dad takes them to the park

Dad was running a bath for the kids and while he was getting their pjs, they took it upon themselves to get in on their own... (I guess Siena didn't feel the need to take her clothes off like Chelsea did)

The girls were trying to comfort their brother, who got sick
(poor little guy...)
And then apparently they all got sick...
so sad...
They had several fun movie nights
And this was when Justin realized that he should probably do some dishes

Thank you so much for everything you did for us, Lisa! I miss you already! But I really am happy for you and your sweet family that you are together again:) Can't wait to see you all soon! Love you so much!
Isn't it so nice to be missed! I love the last shot of the sink full of sippy cups! It is so classic. I am so glad that you had a good time. I believe that every mother can be a little better after a little break!
Lisa, I took the picture of all the sippy cups and bottles before I loaded them in the dishwasher (for the second time). I thought you would get a kick out of it. Justin did a wonderful job, but I don't know if it ever occurred to him to fun the dishwasher. I'm glad you were able to go help Lillian. And we're all glad you're back.
Fun post. I'm sure you're family is so glad you are back. But my dad said he was very impressed with how well Justin did while you were gone! Such a nice break for you, and that must more fun to return to your family.
What a great dad! I am sure that Lillian enjoyed and appreciated every moment you spent with them and that cute baby! I am so glad that you were able to go and spend some time! We will have to get together again soon and do a swimming day! Glad you back!
