Our Yellowstone Day

Since Justin didn't have any meetings until Wednesday, we decided to spend all of Monday at Yellowstone National Park.

We got up bright and early

And after a delicious breakfast of sourdough pancakes, we were off

Notice the bison in the background

The hot pots at West Thumb

We got this awesome hiking carrier for this trip (it converts into a stroller!), and Siena was pretty content riding it

Brighton spots an elk

We even managed to carry two little girls on it

We had some lunch while we waited for Old Faithful to erupt,

at the Historic Old Faithful Inn

The kids stand by as we wait for the geyser

There it goes!

Another cool geyser at the Fountain Paint Pots

With the short attention spans of three little ones we were only able to cover the lower loop of the Park, but we got to see a lot of neat stuff and the kids really enjoyed it. Brighton loved the multi-colored hot pots, Chelsea loved the geysers, and Siena was highly entertained by all of the wildlife. We saw elk and bison, and even a bear in the distance! What a fun day.

Good old Yellowstone. Was Justin nervous about the children being around hot pots and geysers? I think I enjoyed Yellowstone more when the kids were older. But it sounds like everyone found something to enjoy.
