Our New Friends (and Easter Eggs)

This afternoon we invited our new friends, the Holts, over to our house to color Easter eggs.

We actually met them last year when our Brighton and their oldest son, also named Brighton, were in the same summer rec class. They also have a daughter named Whitney, who is just one month older than Chelsea, and when I first met Deawn (their cute mom), I had just had Siena and she was pregnant with their baby girl Lily. You can imagine how excited I was when we found out that they were in our new ward and neighborhood! Of course we have all become instant friends. It has been so fun to spend time with their family, and despite the fact that Brighton threw up all over their couch the first time we were invited to their home, they still choose to hang out with us, too!

The kids had a lot of fun coloring and decorating the eggs, and I think they turned out beautifully!

(As a side note, to distinguish between the two Brightons, we have been adding on their middle names)

So fun to have friends in your ward the same ages as your kids! I am so happy for you guys. Looks like a great activity.

I missed doing this with you this year, with Easter coming so early and with so much sickness between us. Looks like much more fun for the kids to do with their new friends. That's great!
