It's beginning to look a lot like...

Christmas at our house!

Seeing the lights on my house makes me happy...

I know, we're already 10 days into the month of December, and I'm finally getting around to doing a December post... my dear husband informed me this evening that it was probably time for an update, so here it is :)  I have to admit, I haven't been my usual blogging self the last couple of months-- sort of just getting by with the bare minimum, and hopefully this will explain why:

I just haven't really been feeling 100%... but Christmas is coming whether I'm feeling great or not, and we are excited.  We have already done many of our favorite things, like:

Decorating the "kid" tree.  Siena got really into it this year

They love hanging all of their hand-made ornaments, and having the tree in the playroom makes for a great night-light!

We've written letters to Santa

"A box of Legos and a book of blueprints to build Lego things"-- I hope Santa can come through!

We've also already been to two Christmas parties, seen Christmas lights at two different places, read our favorite Christmas books (over and over), and done most of our Christmas shopping.  And there is more to come because we have a lot of fun things planned on Saturday!

You have to love Christmas, despite all the work and expense. Children make it so delightful. I love the expressions on the kids faces whenever they're doing anything related to the holiday. Your house looks lovely We look forward to Saturday.
